TemptationTemptation.
I've never been one for it.
Never gave it a second thought.

My Mother warned me not to go into the shadows.
Only danger would welcome me there.

But his scent; so sweet like honey couldn't be denied.
I'm helpless near him.

Find someone who'll take care of you.
But this man will.
He's made promises he swears to keep.

Take care of me.
Protect me from harm.
Keep happiness in these eyes.

He screams about the world and it's misguided ways.
My Mother tells me to watch out, he has a temper.
My love will never hurt me.

The wars are raging.
The lies are being spun.

He's decided there's no other way to keep me out of harm

Despair

We are but a human being
Some call us Vanity
Others look at us and say Envy
Red eyes of Wrath
Born with Lust
Hungry for Gluttony
Wanting Greed
And needing Sloth

We are but a black winged Demon
In nature and in heart
We gave our self away
In hope of silence
And the Hell we call Heaven
You know us as Despair
Greet us as wretchedness
With a smile we look back
And a tear that does not know its way out

We are but a Fallen Angel
A sad melody to put you to sleep
Our bitter sweet kiss on those lips
Tainted with Darkness
We've sunk so deep
So far so late and hopeless
We are needy and afraid
The sea is below us

Music in my soulIt's the music I now understand
Ignore it's message I now can't
I hear the music of the song
My mind hearing it along

The song begins, sounds play
The words in my mind still stay
Listen closely, listen good
The words finally understood

They come around, grab my soul
The words have reached their goal
My mind is depressed, I feel down
Upon my face an eternal frown

The sounds play with my heart
My moods always far apart
Sad now, happy a moment later
Both of each other the greater

Enjoy the music for the sound
It will make you jump around
Enjoy the music for the words
It's you soul it girds.

Second Fiddle

Your lacklustre eyes
Lose their focus
As you listen solemnly
The organ's C-natural melody
The end of past things and desires

Your small bouquet
Of red roses
Are held delicately
Between your hands
Your fingertips
Lightly graze the thin petals

You stand there
Staring at the groom
Trying to smile
When all you can do is cry

A silvery tear
Follows the curved plane
Of your stone face
As you try to internalize
All of your emotions

You watch the groom
With a forced smile
As he stares forward
Genuinely happy

You try to come to terms
With the role that you will always play
That void that will never be filled
How you are alway

Her

I watch her walking
I hear her talking
she catches my wandering eye
she walks by being chastised

I want to ask her so many questions
"Why won't you speak?"
"Don't you know your so unique?"
"Can I see your beautiful smile?"
"Why are you so hostile?"
I can see you have so many suggestions

People write you off as strange
But there is no need for you to change

I Can TryI can listen to everything you have to say
And try my best to make you feel better
Make the difficult times easier for you

I can hold you close and make everything else disappear
Let you take out your anger and frustration
Promise not to go anywhere

I can tell you I won't leave you when things start to fall apart
But that doesn't mean you would do the same
When things start to get hard

I can love you with all of my heart
Miss you so much it hurts to breathe
But that won't make you come back
Make you want to be with me

I can try to convince myself that there's someone else out there for me
That you don't still own my heart

Good MorningGood Morning.

I have a distressing tendency of waking up too early.

The sun escaping from the blinds always begins to stir me.

Just as I begin to behave sullen and surly, her presence averts me.

I turn to my side to see the vein in her left arm pump overtly.

She's completely immersed by the covers.

I have to resist temptation not to hold and hug her.

Her body suddenly moves with a spontaneous shudder.

Her mouth moves but not a word or sound does she utter.

I stare at her intently and push her stray hairs behind her ear.

Realising that loosing this woman will be my most dreadful fear.

Her eyes momentarily open just to make sure that

Free WillFree Will.

Is free will a devout gift or a curse?

Was it free will that granted a desperate man to steal an old lady's purse?

Was it free will that resulted in multiple bodies carried in a hearse?

Was it free will that justified a police officer to shoot the accused first?

Was it free will that allowed a family man's mentality to be so perverse?

Could this world of ours get any worse?

Free will gives us the chance for all of us to be distinctive.

But as a consequence people can act corruptive and vindictive.

But without this choice, our lives would be constrained and restrictive.

Undoubtedly these two differing perspectives are cont

A gasp in cool night.

a growing distance that time measures
a startling silence lying mute

a large dark cloud hovering
a burned out light bulb

a desperate release of emotions
a distraction from silence

that's controlling of my life

Imperfection

She hears all the other girls
They talk about their boyfriends
They talk about their makeup and latest brands
They talk about their perfect lives

She can't help but laugh at their cliques
The boyfriends cheat for a more imperfect girl
The makeup cakes on and the clowns are reveled
Their lives are as imperfect as can be

She watches everyone inside and out
She notices most everyone has an imperfect relationship
She notices most everyone has an imperfect sense of style
She notices everyone has an imperfect life

She sees her life
It may look just like a life full of imperfections,
But having an imperfect story is the only
perfection you can have in life...

Imperfection is now becoming the facade of our modern society - all the cliche narrations about fashion faux pas and novoeu riche tastes of glamour are nothing more than fancy ways of describing more money, more power, more fame.

And in the process, they're simply giving away the one most important lesson of their lives: themselves. We are our own books, our own dictation, our own essence. Becoming something we are not is the saddest thing we can do. But if we do not want to accept that - so be it.

Let the imperfection guide us into wearing our misery's crown.
